Resin Driveway Repairs, Cleaning & Re-Sealing
Most resin driveway problems — cracks, loose stone, sunken patches, dull colour — can be repaired without replacing the whole surface, provided the base underneath is sound. We assess the base first, then repair, clean or re-seal as needed.
Resin surfaces rarely fail on their own — they fail because of what's underneath or how they were laid. Cracks usually mean a weak sub-base, loose stone means the wrong mix or laying in the wet, and patches that have gone cloudy or dull are typically UV damage on a non-UV-stable resin. We start every repair by checking the base, because patching a surface over a failing base just moves the crack.
Where the base is sound we cut out and re-lay the damaged area, colour-matched to the existing aggregate, then clean and re-seal the whole drive so the repair blends in. Where the base has failed we'll tell you straight and quote for the proper fix rather than a patch that won't last a winter. We repair resin surfaces we didn't install as well as our own.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers to the questions homeowners ask us most.
Can a cracked resin driveway be repaired?
Yes, if the crack is in the surface rather than the base. We cut back to sound material, re-lay a matched mix and re-seal. If cracks are spreading or the surface has sunk, the sub-base has failed and that area needs rebuilding — we'll show you which it is at the assessment.
Why is my resin driveway losing stones?
Loose stone almost always comes from the mix — too little resin, or laying in damp or cold conditions so it never cured properly. Small areas can be cut out and re-laid; a whole surface shedding stone usually needs a new top layer.
How much does a resin driveway repair cost?
It depends on the size of the damaged area and whether the base is sound. A small patch repair is a fraction of a new drive; a failed base is a bigger job. We assess for free and give you a fixed price before any work.
How do I clean a resin driveway?
A stiff brush and a hose deals with most dirt; a pressure washer on a wide fan setting held well back is fine for moss and algae. Avoid narrow jets close to the surface — they can lift stone. Re-sealing every few years keeps the colour and protects the surface.
Do you repair resin driveways that another company installed?
Yes. A lot of our repair work is on drives laid by installers who've since disappeared. We'll assess it honestly and tell you whether it can be saved.
