Resin Bound Driveways in Sale & Cheshire
A resin bound driveway is a smooth, permeable surface of natural stone and UV-stable resin, laid over a properly prepared base — it resists cracking and weeds, drains rainwater naturally, and transforms the front of your home.
We install resin bound driveways from the ground up: full dig-out where needed, a sound sub-base, solid edgings, and a hand-trowelled resin and stone finish in the colour blend you choose from our sample range.
Because the groundwork comes first, the surface stays flat and crack-free for years — the difference between a driveway that lasts and one that fails at the edges within a couple of winters.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers to the questions homeowners ask us most.
How long does a resin bound driveway last?
A properly installed resin bound driveway typically lasts 15–25 years. The key is the base: we prepare and compact the sub-base before laying, which is what prevents cracking and sinking over time.
Do I need planning permission for a resin driveway?
Usually not. Resin bound surfacing is permeable and SUDS-compliant, so in England a new or replacement driveway of any size normally doesn't need planning permission — unlike non-permeable surfaces over 5m².
What's the difference between resin bound and resin bonded?
Resin bound mixes the stone and resin together before it's hand-trowelled, giving a smooth, permeable finish. Resin bonded scatters stone onto a resin layer — it's cheaper but not permeable, and loose stone comes away over time. We install resin bound.
How soon can I use my new driveway?
You can typically walk on a resin bound driveway after around 24 hours and drive on it after around 48 hours, depending on the weather during curing.
How much does a resin bound driveway cost?
It depends on the size of the driveway and the groundwork needed underneath. We carry out a thorough site survey first, then give you one clear, no-obligation quote — call or WhatsApp us to arrange it.
